Privacy Policy
Sled Pace · Last updated: 18 October 2026
Sled Pace is a race pacer for hybrid fitness races on iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. The short version: your workouts and health data stay on your devices. There is no account, no tracking, no ads and no analytics.
Who is responsible
Sled Pace is made by Filipe Santos, an independent developer in Portugal. Contact: sledpace@gmail.com.
Data the app stores on your devices
| Data | Where it is stored | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your goal time and your custom workouts | On your iPhone, and a copy on your paired Apple Watch | To build your target splits |
| Your sessions: date, workout, and the time of each segment | On your iPhone. The watch keeps the last session | To show results, your best, and your history |
| Your benchmarks and your division | On your iPhone | To predict your finish time |
| A session in progress | On the device that runs it | So a session survives an app restart |
This data is never sent to the developer or to any server. It moves only between your own iPhone and your own Apple Watch, through Apple’s Watch Connectivity.
Health data
On Apple Watch, with your permission, Sled Pace uses Apple HealthKit during a session to:
- read your heart rate and active energy, to show them during the session, and
- save the session as a workout in Apple Health, with one segment for each run or station.
Health data is used only to show it to you during a session and to save your workout to Apple Health. It is never used for advertising, never sold, never shared with third parties, and never sent to the developer. You can turn off access at any time in the Health app on iPhone. The timer keeps working without it.
Purchases
Sled Pace is free, with no ads. You can leave an optional tip as an in-app purchase. Payments are handled by Apple. The developer never sees your name, email address, or payment details.
The app uses RevenueCat to sell tips and, if a paid Sled Pace Pro comes later, to check whether you own it on all your devices. RevenueCat receives a random identifier made by the app, your purchase records from Apple, and basic technical data such as the app version, the operating system, and your country or region. It does not receive your workouts or your health data, and it does not identify you by name or email.
Feedback by email
If you tap Send feedback, your own mail app opens a message to sledpace@gmail.com. The app fills in the app version, the device model and the system version, so problems are easier to reproduce. You see the whole message and can change or delete anything before you send it. Nothing is sent unless you send it.
If you send it, the developer receives your email address and what you wrote, and uses them only to answer you and to improve the app. You can ask for your emails to be deleted at any time.
What the app does not do
- No account and no sign-in.
- No analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising SDKs.
- No tracking across apps or websites.
- No sale or sharing of your data.
- Nothing is sent to the developer unless you choose to send an email.
Deleting your data
Delete the app from your iPhone and your Apple Watch. That removes all workouts, sessions and benchmarks. Workouts already saved to Apple Health stay in Apple Health until you delete them there. Purchase records stay with Apple and RevenueCat as their own policies require.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to complain to a data protection authority. In Portugal, that is the CNPD. Because the developer holds no data about you, most requests can be met by deleting the app. For anything else, write to sledpace@gmail.com.
Children
Sled Pace is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new date. Important changes will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
